evolution - a new photo thread idea
i just got my photo from this years haystack TT and it inspired me to go back and look at previous years haystack photos for comparison.
seeing them all in a row was pretty cool and made me think maybe everyone has similar photo sequences of thier evolutions as racers. some will be hilarious, some will be inspiring, some will just be dumb. hopefully a lot will be interesting though.
so heres 4 years of me on a TT bike
post your evolution in here too.
2010 cat4 12th place
2011 cat 3 4th place
2012 cat 3 2nd place
2013 35+ cat1/2 3rd place

I didn't look for reasonably similar pictures.
1984. Second year of racing. 16 years old, under 103 lbs (which I hit at 17 years old). 51 cm frame, 11 cm stem. Off the back in a RR.
Credit: I don't know but they owe me
1991. Not sure of weight, probably in the 120 lbs range (I was 112 in 1989, 132 in 1994). My leadout man, in the old purple kit, just blew up, coming up on the bell. I'm looking for someone to come around. 50 cm frame, 52.5 cm top tube?, 14 cm stem. If I was that light again...
Credit: Jim Gerwick
1999? If so I'm 156ish lbs. I broke 160 lbs over the winter of Y2K, I could bench 200 lbs for the first time. Wearing a friend's Euro team kit. Size M Giant, 55.5 cm top tube, 12 cm stem.
Credit: Zui Hanafusa
2005. 175 lbs? Size S Giant, 53.5 cm top tube, 12 cm stem. Down from 215 lbs in 2003.
Credit: another racer's wife using her cell phone camera.
2008. 185 lbs? 52 cm, 53.5 cm top tube, 12 cm stem.
Credit: Matt Stuart
2009, 185-190 lbs aka fat. 52 cm frame, 53.5 cm top tube, 12 cm stem.
Credit: Terry Unkert
2010. 158 lbs or so. The first custom, 56.5 cm top tube, 12 cm stem.
Credit: John Specht
2011. 170 lbs. Second Tsunami, 56.5 top tube, 12 cm stem. Getting shelled in SoCal.
Credit: Rich Kelly
Last weekend 2013. 175-180 lbs. Same frame front end as 2010 but with 14 cm stem, compact bar, so 1-2 cm shorter reach.
