    Did my first Tt today

I just started cycling a month ago and wanted to do a race and figured a time trail would be a good way to start. I entered on my caad 10 in the standard category. I was pretty happy with myself even though I really did not do that great. It was a 20k I did it in 38.37 at 19.70 mph

I starred off at a comfy but higher pac. I did not want to push to heard at first and did not know what to expect but next time I am going to push harder. I feel i could have done a little better. My legs just aren't there yet but my cardio is not a issue at all. Overall I was very happy with myself and had fun.

Congrats on your first race, though you'll never be a bike racer with that attitude. Here's the proper way to time trial (go to 50s):

Why didn't he just hop on the replacement bike? Or was all lost at this point? I'm a little confused and a quick google search did me nothing ;/

His bike had an electric motor in the seat tube that produces 30 watts extra

Congrats on the first TT, keep doing them. You get faster and get better but they'll always hurt the same - hell of a lot of fun!
