Ah crap, procrastinated and guess what the only field to fill up was? Mine. Maybe I'll try to make it out to Lodi. But that would mean no hard ride during the day

There will be no shows. Just show up and race.

are there any weekly training crits in the sac area? like something in a parking lot of business park in the evening or something. i want some more crit practice without having to go broke from all the registration fees. im aware that i can go on a race ride, but i like the fact that i can just hop back on when the pack comes around in the next lap.

Lodi turnout was pretty low today; 15 in the E3, 25-30 in the P12, 15 in the women's P123, and so on.

Kind of a bummer because its a fun course and really well run event. Lots of good food right on the course for significant others, great MC, etc.

I assume most were down at Foothill?

Not that I know of. There were some early season practice crits in Roseville last year, but that didn't carry over.

I did both. Probably should have just done Lodi, hills are not my friends anymore. Well even less then they used to be.

Saw you guys race while warming up on a trainer. Looked brutal, break got away and field just imploded (or is it exploded).

Small field let 1 guy go, then 3 more, then 1 more then two of them crashed out. I had a saddle issue and had to go to the pit and that cost me two laps. No chance of doing anything, so I sat off the back and watched. Not thrilled as I was feeling really good.

Jr teammate somehow bridged up half a lap and took the win.

Saw you got your new kit, too. Looks sharp and easy to spot in a pack.

Damn impressive for your team mate. He was dangling there for a while. Yeah I saw a crash, it was really a WTF moment. There shouldn't have been one there. I would understand if it was on Turn1, or even 4 or last one, but on T3? Well actually right before it.

I love that course almost as much as Davis, but legs were super tired. I think I could have done top ten, but lost bunch of positions with half a lap to go when some dude in white hammer jersey almost caused a pile up. As such barely missed out.

Not just where it was, but it was in a break of like 3 guys?!?! You'd have to try to crash in that situation.

Once the break was established, what was left of the chase group just gave up. No one worked, no one communicated, just all waited for the last half lap for that one last podium spot. Was kind of interesting to watch it all play out while sitting on.

It was 5 or so, but after the pile up 3 remained. I should have set in my race, but I was really concerned about being crashed out, and people popping off. We seem to be loosing people left and right off the back. Top 5 is not a good place to be to conserve energy.

Anyone done one of the sprint and race clinics, was it worth it?

I prefer to remain unbattered and unbroken.

Your field would be huge. 150 people on a 1/2 mile course? Only good things can happen.

I would get destroyed at that race. I'd be an obstacle after a few laps.

I'm in. 35+ 3/4 and 35+123s

i've been doing three crits every sunday the day after doing the HOP ride on saturday for the last month just for this GDamn 35+ 3/4 race. I've been so close the last two years. No leading out any teammates, no letting in friends on other teams who are caught out in the wind. I'm gonna be racing fresh for the first time in a month and I'm in as good a fitness as i've been. So i'm ready.

and the 35 +123 race? i think i can finish it after surviving the colavita death march this weekend.
