he's the blue/green sleeved guy..white helmet... didn't know it was him... he just happened to be in a shot. I zoomed in to see the leopard spots on the shorts and was like that must be him .. I didn't talk to anyone before the cat4 race... so I didn't know who to look for. I hope to race a few myself next year or take more pics.. so not used to shooting fast moving things... it's been PGA golf and daughters softball for many years, not quite the same.

Thanks for taking pics.

Henleyville RR. What is peeps opinion about it? On One hand it has words like "Nearly Flat!" in the description which suits my pudgy azz. On the other hand it's at the end of September, and I need to leave at 4:30am to make it on time. The last one makes me question my sanity for considering it.

I did Henleyville last year with awful fitness and was fine. There is one little roller of a climb each lap and a small climb at the finish you do once (a lot like San Francisco or Vacaville). Otherwise, flat with a mix of good and bad pavement, and a chance for wind. If you finished San Francisco or San Rafael, you'll be more than fine.

I think I am going to skip it. The thought of leaving at 4:30 in the morning, driving for 3 hours in to middle of nowhere, doing a 70 mile group ride, then driving back just doesn't appeal to me at this point in the season.

Debating whether to do CCCX and Oaklamd grand prix, or just call it a season and take it easy and get chubbier before starting training in October.

Thanks I got it. Great shot. I almost clipped someone on last turn at some point. I don't think he expected me to fly by that close to the curb.

Speaking of Dean, I just met that guy today. Saw him on the side of the road putzing around as I rode home from my ride, and said hi cuz I recognized the kit.

Yep, kool dude.

The way he handled situation at Giro was awesome. I just almost lost it at the lady who decided to park her SUV on exit of T2. With pack coming. How there wasn't a huge pile up still amazes me.

It's not USAC, but it is a "race":

Welcome to Tahoe Bike Classic | Tahoe Bike Classic

Haven't done it, but may go just to ride around the lake.

That just doesn't look safe. Probably very ironic of me saying it because most of my time racing spent in crits.

That being said, probably would do it if I lived closer.

I assume the field will self sort pretty early on and with a rolling police escort, more road should be usable.

That's expensive as hell.

I think I'll do Henleyville.

Edit: Oh it's Sunday. Still, I think I'll do the A-ride.

Yeah...quite pricey, but a great place to ride (even better with secure roads). I'll def do Henleyville and Tahoe on an alternate no cost day.

Racer Ex has ridden around the lake on numerous occasions. Unless I was single and they were providing Bunny Ranch coupons I can't see why you'd pay to do it. Lot's of places to stop and get quality food and drink, road is pretty ok where there aren't bike lanes or paths.

Let me know if you come up.
