It means that long section on the frontage road will probably be a tailwind rather than a headwind.

Oddly enough, the wind forecast is flipped for Saturday (and only Saturday) to be coming out of the northwest. So, that stretch and the finishing stretch will likley be into the wind again.

Of course it is. Well, either way, the top and bottom will be in a crosswind as usual. Take care not to get Quintana'd

SaturdaySunny and hot, with a high near 100. North northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
Dang. I was hoping for a little more wind.

Any of you guys ride Franco bikes? I like the geometry of their Bascom bike, but don't have any first hand (or second) riding experience.

Hey folks -
Just moved out to the Bay from Cleveland (I used to think I was a good climber). I'm getting back on the bike after ~4 years off, and was hoping to get back into racing shape by next season.
Anyone know of any off-season training race/rides in SF proper? I've found a couple in the Peninsula but I'm car less at the moment so something in town would be sweet.
Thanks guys! Looking forward to being west coast fast!

i've never done Roasters but that would seem to be the one. If i was closer i'd do the Port ride on tuesdays. if you do the HOP on saturdays...that schedule is no longer accurate (you could take BART to those)

My guess would be in Woodside, at the 4-way stop where Canada Rd starts. Robert's Market is the place I think, lots of parking behind it.
Few miles from there to the base of OLH.
Whatever you do, don't drive up or down OLH! I made that huge mistake when I first moved here and almost died.
Riding down it also kind of sucks, so unless you're doing repeats take a right on Skyline and come down 84 back to Woodside.
