I THINK it won't be as intense. More opportunity to recover, but it also depends on what the field does. Could be a good course for the spry guys to wreck bigger guys.
Have you been through English Colony on either Coffee Republic or the Folsom Race ride? If so, it's a lot like that. Punchy roller, carry speed into the next one and the next one and so on. The final climb could be a challenge. 75s power climb then 30s false flat, 60s power climb, 20s false flat, 90s power climb.

the finish will be the first entrance to Pinnacle Summit ... so about 1/3 up the final kicker after the last flat section.

Duuuuuude ... that was brutal. I hung around for a couple laps and once it was clear I wasn't going to make the lead group nor be able to do anything for my teammate I throttled way off the gas and just rode with a couple guys. We were waaaaay out the back.
Teammates did well with a win and a 3rd in the 3/4 and a 2nd in the 35+ 3/4.
Local kid with cat 1 legs, but rarely races, won the 2/3 and picked up a 2nd in the 3/4 immediately after.

True that.
I hoped the profile you posted was slightly erroneous. Still it was a super fun course, at least for the rollers and the +50mph descent. I need to drive back and try to find the lung I lost on the final climb. Almost like Nevada City was turned into a circuit race.

Cool course, pretty well run event, and fun to have some local residents coming out with the cowbells to cheer us all along. Not a course I'd ever do well on, but I hope it stays on the calendar next year.

Lodi anyone?
I'm in for the P 1/2, but on the fence for doubling up with the 35+. It's gonna be hottt and not sure I'll have the legs to perform well in both. Been getting some leg cramps at the end of second races lately and I'm not too thrilled with that.

I did 3's. Almost passed out from heat. Ended up 6th, but it was small field. Kind of kicking myself. If I started sprint sooner, or was in higher gear would have gotten a 5th, maybe even a 4th.

It was very hot ... I was feeling a but sick after the race. The sprint seemed like a short 200m and the final corner was super tight.
Ive only done a few P12 races thus far and they've been pretty tough, but fun. Lodi was brutal and I suffered quite a bit.

Frustrating to finish just out of the points, did you get $$$?

Apparently Lodi was my 99th race. This is sad...

I wish I hadn't pulled out, but all my matches were gone after my failed breakaway attempt.
I hate how racing seems so much easier after it's over!!

I left my bike there and stopped at all the fast food joints on the way home. I quit!!!
Agreed that it's a tough course. I made it tougher on myself by being so far back. Not too discouraged yet, that'll probably happen around San Rafael or so.

I love Lodi on paper. On pavement, in the last 3 years I've crashed, flatted, and had to pull myself because of the heat. But I did manage to win a bottle of Zin for my wife, so there's that.

Tempted to do Watsonville crit tomorrow, even though it's usually tiny turnout, and those weird dips in the all the corners.
Was it still that same course? I haven't done it in a few years, but the time I did those drainage dips in all the corners were really annoying.

I'm planning on being there tomorrow. The dips were there last year, but I hardly noticed it. Some guys really hated them though.
