I think there were like 24 total. Weak sauce race field size. Although, to stay with the field you had to do 7.1 wkg for 2 minutes every lap. Not a fan of climbing #climbingislame

Yep. In the end it was like 25 bucks, and causing a scene (and delaying my 3.5 hour ride home) wasn't worth it. I was a little bit annoyed to say the least.

out walking the earth
Greatest race ever. 8 turns in a mile or less. Start/finish at a brewery. Rode uber aggressive but not break stuck. Setting up for the sprint a guy jumped before turn 8 and hung on to beat me by a bike length. Tough sport.

Colavita GP
Closed loop with a little hill on the back side. overcast and breezy.
35 +3/4
field - 30ish
a few guys snuck away a few laps in. I didnt think they would go all the way so i declined to jump across when they were just a few seconds ahead, but they did go all the way and i felt really stupid. For someone like me that needs a break to have a chance, to miss a very achievable breakaway is complete disaster. my bad. i spent the last few laps sulking at the back
2/3
field - 50?
significantly faster than the previous race. also lots of bumping and jostling and jamming bikes into spaces that didnt exist. it was really fun. I felt good. And alot of guys looked like they were hurting so that was good. on final lap i was 10ish over the hill, but got boxed in and a stream of guys went around. I think i finished right dead in the middle of the field.
35+ 123
field 40?
I was pretty much empty after two races, so this was all for character building. Also very fast. maybe faster than the 2/3s. 60 minutes of mostly single file with no breaking or jostling or elbowing. I was pretty much just hanging in on every lap and trying not to show how much i was hurting. calmed down a little bit with 7 or 8 laps to go when a Dirk Himley led breakaway escaped. The final acceleration up the hill on the bell lap cracked me and i rolled with a handfull of other dudes.
3 races, each harder than the one before and pretty hard ride yesterday. My biggest race of the year is next week and i hoping to be fresh and strong for that.

Small field of 28 people. The course was actually fun. It had couple technical(ish) turns, and a small bump to keep things interesting. Missed my chance to move up the front, and didn't have the legs to move up on the hill, so was way out of position for the final turn. Finished 11th, bleh. Half assed it on the finish line, not sure what happened to the rest of the field no one was really around me. Another frustrating race.

I've been posting my race reports in the old folks home, here's the summary:
Salida weekend SW3
TT - 8/10, tried hard but poor result, got stuck behind someone who passed me and then slowed down and warned for drafting by the moto ref
Crit - 3/13 podium! technical fast figure 8. they raced SW3 with the P12 scored separately. spent 19 minutes over AT in a 50 minute crit
RR - 5 laps of a short hilly circuit, hot, asthma, couldn't eat, dropped, suffer immensely for next-to-last, but got to work with a team mate and another team mate podiumed.

I'm just psyched that my friend won the 2s GC at Cascade. My pick for Nats RR this year.

Jeromy was doing all masters races for the cal cup series, I think. He locked that up so I expect he'll be upgrading in a couple races. If he didn't get the points here, he'll get them next race. He's a track omnium national champion who can TT and climb. Makes it look too easy.
