Your team name is like 15 words. Jersey will look like the NYTimes.

Subtle difference but we wanted people who ordered this years kit to still blend in with those who purchased last year's kit. The greyscale on the back is an elevation profile of the most popular riding loops in the area.

Obviously this is a more club-oriented kit, but the same basic principles would apply for a race-specific jersey. Minimalist design, bold, but not over the top colors. Sponsors on the back pockets.
That is a really nice looking kit, I like the color bands. I definitely wanted ours to be a bit more flashy, if only to liven it up a bit. This won't be for a team, but for some of us who like to ride, don't own or don't like any pro kits and just mix and match but want to wear something in support of our workplace at events.

Or at least mostly black shorts and mostly white socks (though black socks when it's wet make sense).

I love Jandro's kit! Ours used to be like that - almost all black with a blue horizontal stripe & leg bands. I loved that version, I'm wearing it until it falls apart (soon).

Ours is just OK, I wish the colored stripes either went all the way down or weren't there.

We've been going with pretty clean designs the last few years and have gotten a lot of compliments on them. This is our current kit:

Thanks, man (and everyone else).

The black in the summer time is definitely worth noting, though hasn't come up as a huge issue, yet. We'll see as this is the first year it will be raced in during the summer months. I'd love to offer a lighter kit, but it would go against the whole group cohesiveness philosophy.

I don't belong a club, but in the mythical club in my head, I'm imagining an all white kit with thin blue horizontal pinstripes (or hoops as referred to for soccer jerseys) and three lions, based on the crest of the town where I'm living. Would be classy, I tell ya!

You could do a mid-tone gray where the black is for a "summer" version. Would still look cool.

For everyone else, here's a pic I took of @Jandro and some guy in an Enzo's kit.

That is a really nice kit, I like the color.

Squadra looks a little plain from the front. Easy to pick out in races from behind though with a big square orange SPY logo.

I like this, very clean and doesn't make you look like a superhero. Our team kit isn't terrible either but yours is CLEAN!

then again you don't have any sponsor logos haha.

I actually really like the new Squadra kit. The last design was really meh. Black and red are overdone (IMO). The more neutral blue is a nice touch and stands out just the right amount.

Ovo, we are actively trying to NOT have sponsor logos plastered all over our kit. We understand the practical need for them, but for now, we don't need it. We collaborate with a really awesome local shop and a restaurant, but are more interested in event sponsorship than random discounts in exchange for a logo on the kit.

I plan to go to NorCal in the summer to go up Mt. Diablo, i'll take you on that offer

I was super out of shape like 4 years ago(200 lbs and haven't ridden a bike in 6 months cause I was lifting alot). My best friend lived in SF at the time, asked me to come up and ride with him...He takes me up Mt. Diablo. I bonked so hard and had to walk the last mile to the top. I was descending at 15 mph. Worst day on the bike ever. I told him we need to go back cause that experience is still ingrained in my mind lol.

Every team should try to do this! I Like it! Most people can't even see the small logos anyways!

Yeah, just let me know.

I did 51:30 last year on heavy wheels. I'm about 7 lbs lighter and want to race it with tubulars and see if I can get to 48:xx. Or whatever the Strava first page is at now!

man, had to check. http://www.strava.com/segments/254731 I wish it weren't raining Saturday.

I like the clean, retro look for aesthetics. I also like being able to pick out teammates in a crowded field. One of our main sponsors is JBL, so we usually have orange as a highlight color but go with black or white as the main jersey colors. One year there were a handful of NorCal teams with black/white/orange and it was pretty annoying.

Every year I argue for orange jerseys and black shorts like Euskatel. Every year I get voted down. Of course, the year I finally prevail I bet 3 or 4 other NorCal teams go orange.
