Full finger gloves

With two layers the outer layer can stick. The inner layer stays stuck to you. The two layers slide, hopefully reducing the skin abrasions. A tough outer surface is critical else the fabric just disintegrates. The inner layer just needs to be thick enough to resist abrasion from the slippery out layer. There are some fancy camera bags I checked out and they have this slippery lycra-like fabric that's really thick. It reminds me of the stuff on the dual layer shorts.

I find gloves are the one thing I can't buy online. I have to try them on.
As an answer to the OP..... skip the bike stores, go to every motorcycle store in your area. You will find what you seek.
My best full-finger gloves fro the summer are MC gloves. My best cold-weather gloves are from a farm/outdoor store.

I've got some plain black PI full finger MTB gloves that I like to wear for races. No extraneous CF knuckle protection or anything so I don't look like I have cyborg hands. I like the little piece of mind the extra protection makes me think I have, real or not. Plus it's one of those "getting into race mode" things in my routine. Slip on FF gloves: go time!

Here are two ways to win in Keirin.
No gloves necessary.
Gloves necessary, unless you are Hoy.

I always wear long finger gloves...even in the TX heat. You can find some lightweight versions if you look towards the BMX world. I bought some 661's which are thin and light.
