You're supposed to keep the bats out of sight until you get to him. Probably scared him off.

And a Boston? area crit as well, whatever Blue Ribbon thing. No wonder the turnout is so sparse at Limerock.

I think I'm less than an hour from Limerock and it's great because Junior can run around quite a bit without worry about traffic and getting onto the race course. The pit lane area is relatively huge, has the buildings he can explore, etc.

Blue Hills. It was a circuit race until last year. Yellow lane violations and yellow stream offenses irritated the Milton highbrows enough to refuse future permits. It was moved to Wompatuck State Park and turned into a crit. I came close to winning it solo last year, got caught with five to go, and managed third. It used to host a weeknight training series back in the day. I won one of those too, with some future pros in the field.

Wompatuck. Does that have a bunch of dead pine trees near the road that look like medieval anti-horse obstacles?

I don't know, but it's in a state park and races were going on there while you were a Junior so you probably raced there. The short sprint is right after a left hand turn, slightly uphill.

Probably the place. I remember feeling like if I fell off the road I'd get impaled. The winner of the one race I did there threw his bike at the line, front wheel went airborne, and he crashed super hard. Sort of turned me off from the course and I never returned. Maybe it's different 30 years later. Those busted up logs would have been compost a long time ago.

I am, look for the 15ft tall 5th dimensional being, but keep in mind that I'm ultraviolet and exist outside of spacetime so I'm not visible to the naked eye.

No Kermis for me this year. I have to work the next day, there is no way I could get back in jersey in time. Looking for other option that weekend, May 15-16. I think there is something at Kissena Velodrome Sunday, not sure though

Doing Battenkill. Quabbin is tempting but I need to spend some weekend time with the family. Skipping Bear Mountain. Doing Lime Rock and Kermis. Skipping Greene to race Tulsa. Skipping Harlem. Hoping to do various Augustas and Rockleighs.

@Stas87, were you at Augusta last night? Just occurred to me I might know you, if the first two letters of your user name are also your initials.

The first week they did some odd combined field pursuit thing. I don't think they have posted results for yesterday, or if they have, whoever wrote the names down was stoned or something.

I'm 50/50 on Limerock. Rockleigh is a definite for me this year, Augusta will be more sporadic. Augusta is a 90min drive without traffic from work, so I may only do 1 or 2 more of those. d
