caps under helmets
Ever notice how 3/4/5's wear cycling caps under helmets, but p/1/2's never do?
Yes euro pros sometimes wear them for wet spring classics, but that's not really relevant to us.
Discuss.

I generally don't race with one. I train with one pretty regularly. On the trainer.

Making a kilometer blurry
I wear head sweats to keep the sweat under control so it doesn't get into my eyes as easily. If I don't wear one, I'm much less comfortable, and have a lot more sweat to mop up with my gloves, and more frequently.

I wear a cap if it's 35-55*F degrees or if it's raining and less than 80*F. I've tried doo-rags/head-sweats and I don't like how they feel.

I hate them in races unless it's pouring. I feel like they don't do anything with the bill flipped up, and flipped down I can't see anything if I'm in a remotely aero position.

Lately I've been cutting off the tops of my caps and wearing them backwards. It seems to do a good job of drawing and directing the sweat to the back.

cap under the helmet is definitely the pro look.

oh the shame!
of course, another explanation is that the guys with the do rags have a real lousy sense of cycling style.

I suppose I'll start wearing one myself sooner or later; maybe when I podium I'll become do-rag worthy?

Wearing a cap under the helmet when it helps is smart. You might even call it "pro".
Wearing a cap under the helmet as a fashion statement is 41.
Personally I never do, but I always train with a sweat band on. Definitely not a pro look, but it works for me.
