Started gluing tubulars for the first time today. Brushing glue onto the base tape reminds me of painting bare wood...the tape pretty much sucked in the first coat. Three coats of glue so far for both the tires and the rims.

What is the best setup for flats and hills? Now i use on my road bike 53/39 crank and 9 speeds cassete 12-25. In flats is okay i have do max speed 27.9 miles. But when the hills come my speed is drop much is very annyoning that. With the 39 ring and the 25 cog hills is very hard my RD is short cage. What cassete is better?

Gluing tubulars feels so 19th century. Still, gotta do it myself in the next day or two.

Finally on 11-speed. Put Rival 22 on the road bike. Huh, this stuff works a heck of a lot better than the 10-speed version.

My co-worker at the LBS, who has been doing this for ~30 years, told me that the Specialized glue was the thinnest he had seen. That might factor into it.
