So we have a training status thread, a nutrition thread, seems like we are missing a sleep/ recovery thread.
I'll start - I usually try to get 6.5 - 7 hours a night. I get 6.5 a lot more often than I get 7, and annoyingly, I often wake up before my alarm (I wanted that extra 20 minutes dammit!). Nonetheless, I generally wake up feeling rested and ready to go, so I must be doing okay.
Recovery-wise, this is my first year seriously trying to train zones 6 and 7, after avoiding them like the plague when I was a randonneur. Lots of fun, but also, lots of fatigue. The last couple of months I have really eased back on volume, to make sure that I can do quality anaerobic and NP intervals. I seem to be adapting well, and I am now in the process of adding back some volume, feeling pretty good so far.
