A time-honored practice is to name them after their grandfathers. I suggested this when we still didn't know the genders and two boys were a possibility. The way that naming fads go, their granddads' very common names (James and Ronald) would have been unusual in the new generation. No Jimmys or Ronnys in the kids' classes that I know of.

I also suggested some names from my favorite literary characters, but Holden and Huckleberry weren't going to fly.

I really wanted to name our twins Casper and Jasper. My wife would have none of it. Well, half of it.

If we're naming them as a duo it is 100% Tomax and Xamot.

I see what you're saying. I do, but I'm not naming my kid after my father or hers. I might name one after my stepfather who was a good guy, but I hate the name Richard/Dick so it isn't happening. Her dad is alright, but we're probably doing chinese middle names. Yu-bin Evans sounds weird.

Mountain biking is expensive. I've shredded a tire, and just bought a brighter bar light -- my old light was plenty bright but the beam was too narrow for the more-technical trails that the new bike opens up. I'm averaging $100 per ride so far :/

Everytime it rains or the road is sufficiently wet and it's 40f outside it costs me $4.50.

Stupid rain.

We're hosting turkey day for the first time ever (having my parents over, so not a crowd or anything). I'm not much of a chef, but I'm going all out, making homemade stuffing, pumpkin pie (including the crust). I've prepared the crust dough, cut up the potatoes and am drying out the stuffing bread and getting it all prepped so tomorrow should be a matter of just cooking it all. Hopefully won't suck!
