I'll be on the trainer for the next few weeks with a broken wrist, maybe I'll start House of Cards.

Does Orange is the New Black count as a soap opera (obviously not a man one). I binged the first season when it came out. Second season, I took my time with.

I watch it. Well made. Love House of Cards too. Masters of Sex, Shameless, Ray Donovan, House of Lies, Californication...

Any guess as to which premium cable channel I have?

I've been watching GOT and recently, Homeland w the gf.

When I'm by myself, South Park or bike racing while stretching/rolling.

House of lies is good, though I really only watch TV for an hour or so per night with the lady so most of my series watching is over the winter while on the trainer. The midweek watching is either food network or HGTV

the first season was quite a bit better, imho. at times the second season seem to lose focus, and the stories feel contrived.

Shows like Breaking Bad have the same formula: white man makes bad decisions, he & family deal with consequences.

That said I love Breaking Bad.

Deadwood was weird, I axed it about 10 minutes in.. last time I take one of your TV suggestions!

We just started The Wire recently, pretty good. Had to translate some slang here and there but not as much anymore.

Gary while you may be incorrect about Orange is the New Black, you are correct here I think:

Sagan, Jalabert. Chris Hoy probably can't pedal up my driveway.

I came back to the sport after an 8 year lay off and won sprints with a modicum of fitness. But I was winning sprints as a kid racing BMX, and I played forward in soccer for 15 years or so. Plus all the body building where I always had huge legs, much bigger than most guys. it was just there. Now most racing doesn't work where the low fitness sprinter guy wins. even field sprints in harder races tend to be the guy with the best fitness (or five minute power) to get into position and stay there. We've had this argument before here. Positioning trumps most things in a sprint, and FTP and 5 minute power (along with smarts) is that which puts you there. You can have the best jump in creation, but if you're going from the back, or gassed from trying to hold position you're not going to win.
Didn't want it to get lost with the old thread.

I can't believe Nick said he slept with Andi on national TV. That was awesome. I mean, that's what my wife told me, or something.

5 weeks until NFL? This summer is flying by. Probably not doing fantasy this year, caring about lots of random games is a waste of time.

I kind of liked the second season because it wasn't quite so Piper-focused. It definitely wasn't as tight as the first season, but I went through large periods of not liking Piper (and pretty much always hated Larry), so less Piper was sometimes a good thing. Also less Pornstache was definitely a good thing (though I hated the whole Daya wanting Pegleg to confess storyline).

Most chickflicks don't have quite as many boobs as Orange. I kind of liked the second season ending. Not as "holy ****!!!" as the first season, but a lot more fun.

Oh, I liked Sherlock. On a similar vein (and also on netflix) Luther is pretty solid. Ripper Street and Copper were pretty good as well. Not sure how I felt about Broadchurch. Don't think that's one for watching while riding, but it was good, just not pleasant.

I use the trainer to support two-a-days with my lunch rides, or as coverage for days I can't ride at lunch. I could go hit the road in the dark, and I've done that in the past, but I get my road/traffic fix at lunch, so I'm fine with Netflix on the trainer in the dark.
