Feel better Grolby.
We had an awesome Tuesday night race series that finally ended this past year. The Series used to run every other Tuesday all summer, then it was cut to just six races. And last year it was gone. It was sad really, but the guy putting it on wasn't getting much support from his teammates, and it was just too much for him.
My team talked about taking it over, but we couldn't muster the support to do it.
Fortunately another team started putting on a different race on Tuesday nights for part of the summer. I'm not a big fan of that course though.
Lastly, I went to pay my gas card bill for this month. I've been traveling so much that I only filled my tank once.

Been saving up the last few months for my new bike. Last week that money went to my sister in law's sewage drain. =\ She's got three kids, and her husband left after impregnating another woman, so the family has to subsidize them at times.
In one way it totally stinks, another way it feels kind of good to help out.
I'm still getting the bike, albeit on credit

CX trail ride this morning with the team. Fell off, landed directly on the collarbone that I broke last fall. May have re-fractured it. Hard to say, stability and range of motion and pain are all better than they were the last time, on the other hand... it feels like it might be broken. Heading in for X-rays. Oh joy.

3 of the 4 courses are wide open square/rectangular 4 corner 90 degree crits. The last course looks very technical with 8 turns.
Races | Gateway Cup
I am debating on going as the drive would be worth it and I could get at least four races in and probably more but at $40 a pop it may be something for next year.

Got my stitches out today, and was cleared to ride outdoors by my girlfriend's mom. I felt like riding kind of hard for 5 minutes. Hit a nice number. #fatpeoplepower

DNFd at Leadville. Thought I was going to die on top of Columbine. Missed the next time cut.
Feeling pretty sorry for myself.

TBH, I can't even breath at 10,000 feet just walking around. Props for even being there, I'm sure it was still quite the experience! Can always try another year too!

It could be worse. You could've passed up the opportunity to try it, and, for the rest of your life, wondered "What if?". Kudos for having the gumption to try something you weren't sure you could do.

Got a little excited yesterday. Found a '79 911 SC on Craigslist at a price I could afford. The ad noted it needed some work and mentioned it was in storage.
The owner didn't respond quickly, so I called the storage place to ask about it. The guy who answered just laughed. It's not a storage place but a restoration shop, and the car has been there four years as the owner is slowly trying to get it restored. The guy said it needs another $10k-$15k worth of work, and that I do not want to buy it.
Probably the first really honest car repair guy I've ever met.
