He didn't even finish the race? Given the severity of this punishment I wonder if there could be more to the story?

Or is the implication that he left early to run away?

thanks, sounds like the fire should be lit.

Only 1.5 weeks since I broke my collarbone and I can't believe how good it feels already. I'm obeying the range of motion restrictions I was told too, but it's enough that I can get t-shirts on and off with relative ease, tie my shoes, do my job, etc. Mostly, the front of my shoulder just feels kind of tight and achy when I've been doing things with my left arm. It's enough to make me want to just hop on my bike, but of course I don't dare. I know that what's really happening is that the inflammation is receding, but there won't have been any healing in a week and a half. As I continue to feel this good and better, I'm going to go a bit crazy. I guess that means it's time to break out the trainer.

Sounds great grolby. Just take it easy! I know you know but still, I felt the need to say that.

Teton, I haven't seen the Orange or Green Crux's in person. I have seen that S-Works one though, and it is quite nice looking. The neon lines are kind of hard to see from a distance, but up close are pretty evident.

My wife as the 2014 Crux Evo. It's almost the same paint scheme as the S-Works, but instead of neon lines, hers are just boring grey. She wanted a fun/fancy color, but they were not in stock for most of the year.

Also, the recently did some testing at races around here. I wasn't at those events - I was traveling for work - but it was posted on FB. I know one guy, a former masters national champion, who was tested - He made a big deal about it on FB. He also pointed out that the guy who won the series and who has tested positive in the past was not.

I'm beginning to somewhat rethink my "no 'cross this fall" decision after the break. I'm still not sure it'll be a good idea! But geez, by November I'm going to feel great.

Thanks! I'll try to remember!

Hey, teton, any of those Crux models will make a great 'cross bike. One thing to be aware of with the Crux, though, is that it's basically a pure grass crit machine. It has more bottom bracket drop than most road bikes (though it will still have a slightly higher BB overall than a road bike due to the tires). It will be absolutely awesome on fast, turny courses. That low BB will make for less clearance for bunny hops and off-camber stuff, so just be aware of that.

Packing for school. It's weird packing up my stuff, and thinking that I won't be back in Ohio until thanksgiving, and after that I probably won't be in Ohio until sometime next summer.

you can visit baltimore when you're homesick, it's exactly like ohio with a bay instead of a lake

Just back from DC vacation. Saw some amazing stuff. The two Air and Space museums might be two of the best places on the planet.

I'm sure the guy was notified that he missed the test. If you ignore USADA you deserve the max.

How do they compare to the museum of flight in Seattle? I love visiting those types of places but haven't made it to DC yet

Just wrote up a review in the 41 of my Competitive Cyclist buying experience. Really was a three week hassle. I've ordered from them 4 times in my life now, and 3 times I've had an issue. Think I'm done with them, so wanted to spread the word to maybe help others avoid. I might even consider buying more expensive things at a local bike shop. *shudder* At least everything turned out ok in the end.

I love the Air and Space museums! I forced my girlfriend to go to every museum that I wanted to see on our trip to D.C.
