I had to submit. My last race went over 10 (counting the clinic), so hopefully USAC doesn't strike my results from the record books. Then I'll have to cry on Oprah and host a Gran Fondo somewhere in NorCal. Besides, now I can be a domestique when @ovoleg races again.
My first crit I got gapped every corner and got dropped on the final lap, this last one I was passing 5-10 people on the corners and actually made an impact in the race. Now I just need to learn how to sit in for 90% of the race instead of getting antsy and making moves that waste energy.

Sorry! How come I never see any of your reports? Now is the perfect time to finish up Cat 5, since we're going in to the off season.

Making a kilometer blurry
They also have the SR-71 and Space Shuttle Discovery. When the SR-71 arrived, it set several records on its flight from LA to Dulles (1 hr, 4 minutes, but I couldn't find it on Strava), and was handed over to the Smithsonian on the runway. They call the Dulles Smithsonian A&S "America's Hangar," and that feels accurate. It's amazing, freaking amazing the hardware they have in there. The DC A&S museum is brilliant too, and I could spend a week each at both locations. DC is a bit more interactive, and Dulles is a bit more OMFG, that's an SR-71 and the freaking Space Shuttle.
Reported.

Teton, I haven't seen the Orange or Green Crux's in person. I have seen that S-Works one though, and it is quite nice looking. The neon lines are kind of hard to see from a distance, but up close are pretty evident.
My wife as the 2014 Crux Evo. It's almost the same paint scheme as the S-Works, but instead of neon lines, hers are just boring grey. She wanted a fun/fancy color, but they were not in stock for most of the year.
Also, the recently did some testing at races around here. I wasn't at those events - I was traveling for work - but it was posted on FB. I know one guy, a former masters national champion, who was tested - He made a big deal about it on FB. He also pointed out that the guy who won the series and who has tested positive in the past was not.

so happens that i placed the order about 2 hours ago. i did go with the green one. got a pretty screaming deal and also had sold half a pile of gear on ebay. i couldn't see either in person but i could visualize the green build a bit easier...plus s-works and 200g lighter.....i imagined scrawny ol' me shouldering it in lap 7 or 8...
sounds like i made the right call! i bet orange would have looked good.
apparently that green one was the last one left in my size in the country.

that said, if it is rolling that means lots of shifting and you can't shift from the clips (good reason for di2!!!).........so you're constantly breaking aero.
i'm going to bet in this case it is advantage: venge.

Noooooooo!!! That's what 95% of all the other 4's are going to do and you're going to have a boring guarded race. Get out and keep mixing it up. Attack, chase, RACE! There is a time and place to sit in, but that doesn't mean you can't try other things as well. You're races will be a bit longer, but not much, so a bit more time for more racing to develop. You'll get more primes (or primes in general) and those can be fun and good for countering into a break or just mixing up the field.

sharp memory--you might know my bikes better than i do! that was 2 septembers ago. i didn't get to race last year due to getting hit by a car. hope to race more this year.
i'm going to sell that frame, and with my deals and the parts i have on hand there's basically no cost.
if anyone wants a raleigh RXC pro disc frame set, holler at me.
(my shop's specialized so i get a bit of heat when i'm not on one. also, the crux has pretty similar geo to the tarmac and the tarmac *really* suits me.)

I post them over in the old folk's home since I'm friggin' ancient (62). My next race is the age-graded association championship road race, racing M60+ Open.

Apparently, our options for her size - 52 - was to wait for the backorder or to buy her the S-Works bike - not just frame - and we could not justify spending that much money on a cross bike.

Until this year I only had one credit card for about 17 years (got a related account card to keep business vs personal separate, but same bank/website/etc). My original card got compromised (I got emails and texts alerting me to some unusual purchases) so now I have a new card. Painless process but my "seared into my memory" card number is no longer valid.
