Season 5 is the last one available on Netflix, right?

I do something similar when unpacking the case of beer into the fridge. I open one end, slide the open end all the way to the back of the fridge, open the other end, put my hand there and pull the case out, leaving just the cans of beer there.

Decided on the shoes!

Specialized 74 (basically leather SWorks). Even with a club discount, it was pricey, but I've always gone cheap with cycling shoes and regretted it. First ride on these was like butter! I could only feel the platform of the shoe and it felt like I was wearing sandals. I wanted a boa type system and glad I did; it feels better than the velcro and ratchet systems. Its also nice having a leather shoe that I can treat years down the road.

I wish I could pinpoint exactly what makes it better and just focus on that but since I'm trying so many different things I have no idea.

I get a lot of ITB/TFL soreness if I sit for too long with my leg at 90 degrees. When I get up and walk around it goes away after 30 seconds. The same pain on the bike! Through my vast research of the interwebz, keeping the leg fully extended should alleviate all the stress off of the TFL. So I started doing that by sleeping on my back(horrible), and sitting with my legs supported.

I think it's working, I'm now on day 2 of this lol.

Nice! I just got a pair of the Specialized Pro. To me they felt more comfortable (in the shop) than the Expert (with the single boa) and a pair of Sidi's (not sure the model but they were $389). I have yet to have them out on the road though. But I got them for $225 so, not a bad deal in the shop.

Shifted back down then shifted back up to try again. A little catch and up goes the chain. Yay!

20-30 yards down the road I hear a strange little sound of something bouncing on the road. Thought I must have kicked up some sort of debris while I was focused on my chain.

Get home...chain spotter gone.

Not a big deal I guess. It shifts with out it. And I think I might be able to get a replacement and fix it. I just hate when my new stuff doesn't work right or breaks.
OK...if anyone is interested. Took my bike into the shop last night (they built the bike up for me). The guy I know in there (and trust) thought the parts I brought in didn't include the correct chain spotter for the Force22 front derailleur so it wasn't installed. That makes sense because I was confused that I even dropped the chain in the first place. And it isn't unlike me not to really notice. I just ride the bike. That's what I get, I guess, buying my groupset at a bargain on the internet. I had them put one on for me $36. No biggie still got smoking deal with the addition of the new chain spotter.

So...no badmouthing from me about the Force22 chain spotter, unless this one fails somehow.

Just started watching this show last week. About to finish Season 2! I can't believe I've waited this long to watch it, such a great show.

Same, I've been running the Force 22 FD with 10 spd rings and shifters. Have never had any problems. Although currently building a new bike with true Sram Force 22

I used to do that too. Mazda relays, $90 at the dealer or something insane like that. At Lajoies I grabbed about 10, they looked, shrugged, "Five bucks".

There was an old Honda go-getter rig they had there. It was an old CVCC I think, maybe an actual Civic. It was hard to tell - the back half was gone and the front half only had the bare minimum for a steering wheel, the driver's seat, and the drivetrain. It worked amazingly well but I think it didn't reverse well (since the floor would just dig into the dirt). It was all of about 5 feet long, super maneuverable, almost a zero turn two wheeled thing.

That yard was like Mad Max come to life.

I think you can still do this at Junkyards. I used to go hunting for car parts with one of my older brother's friends in MN doing exactly as you describe.

We then also raced his AMC Pacer around the junkyard, running into ****, jumping the ruts, etc, until it died. I probably lost a half-inch in height that day.

I lent all my radios to a promoter and am starting to stress about getting them back. I hope to have them Thursday or Saturday. I'm helping with the club's CX race in two Saturdays and need the radios for that.

This morning didn't help. Junior regressed with his potty training ("I peed! Shoes!" "You peed on your shoes?!" pointing at his shoes "I did it, I did it!"), he was tired but didn't want to lay down, he finally fell asleep in my arms, maybe an hour ago. He was up at 5:30 AM, a bit earlier than normal, and I actually fell asleep with him for a bit.

USAC hadn't cashed a check for day-of-race insurance + One Days + Annuals. I followed up. The event's closed, meaning it's marked as fully paid, but when they dug around a bit they found that in fact it hadn't been paid for. My honesty is going to cost me some money.

Big round numbers. Series took in 42k, including "significant to me but not to the overall number" sponsorship. Series cost 45k to hold.

I ran the bike idea by the wife just in case. It was very popular. Looks like I can start shopping.

I hope that works. Back before the Yaw FD, I always used a Shimano derailleur with my SRAM shifters. I don't have any experience with the new ones, I've been on Shimano for a while.

Haha, I wish. No, grolby's wife is getting a bike upgrade, from no road to bike to having a road bike. I'd love it to be both, since I think my current road frame would fit her really well, but c'est la vie. It's pretty exciting, though!

If you haven't watched it yet, you should give "The Shield" a go.

I just spent two hours trying to get my wife health insurance.

She lost her last job and insurance. We signed up for new insurance through the Health Exchange site. She thought she paid last week. The dental coverage went through. But I had not seen the regular health insurance bill hit our accounts, so I had her call.

Turns out the money never went through. And because of that, they canceled her application. So no health insurance through that company. And the Health Exchange said, sorry, you can't apply for other insurance until open enrollment in November.

I finally went directly to an health insurance company that was happy to sell me a plan, albeit one more expensive than the one we thought we were getting, to start Oct. 1 - a month later than planned but not as bad as it could have been.

Ooof. I'm glad you got that worked out. We similarly were trying to get health insurance for my wife, there's a long story that could be told, but suffice it to say that after waiting for months to try and get a response to her application from the Massachusetts health connection people, we ended up putting her on my employer's plan and eating whatever the difference in cost is between that and the (presumably subsidized) plan she would have gotten. It's just very painful to deal with. We probably do qualify for subsidies under the ACA, but we're not looking forward to working that out.

health insurance is kind of a big black hole of confusion/scams. I had to jump through so many hoops with my health insurance over the past year with the accident. My company switched to another plan, and guess what, the deductible starts all over again and all sorts of other fun things that go along with it. Ontop of that the insurance only pays so much, and you have to read all the very fine detail to get to the bottom of it. Don't forget how in-network doctors/nurses/staff can charge you outside of what the hospital charges.

I'm kind of over it, it was really mind draining at first but you just realize you have to bend over and take it...just be glad you're alive.

I changed jobs late last year and as a result, changed insurance providers. With my old insurance, I'd gone to the ER in the past, paid my copay (~$100) and went on my way. With the new insurance provider, things are a bit different as I learned from my ER trip earlier this year. They pay $xx of this and $xx of that. What's even better, is I get individual invoices for each service from the hospital. $xx to the XRay dept, $yy to the doc that read the X Ray, $zz to the doc that told me what the other doc said, and so on. I don't mind the fees, but it'd be nice if they just sent me one itemized invoice instead of $47, $1,050, $2.50 (like really!!!!), etc. Open enrollment starts next month, so I'll look over the options more thoroughly this time around.
