My wife was at a conference at the Château Laurier (literally across the street from the War Memorial). Ironically her colleagues who were not downtown (ie not at the conference) were locked down longer than she was.

I can actually work the Google. Never heard of it before this though and there doesn't appear to be a wealth of reviews yet.

I don't see that "reduce" button anywhere, but it doesn't matter, they don't make my size anyway

Compact only right now. SRM accuracy at an SRM price. Certainly bucking the trend.

The officer who took down the the Parliament shooter wasn't just A sergeant at arms, it was THE Sergeant At Arms. He sometimes carries a big ceremonial mace but used a firearm to put down the shooter.

I've only been away from the industry for a year, but due to the culture of change at my prior group, my lingo is way out of date (at least that's what I'm told by former colleagues).
However, the general theme was that "we do this scope for this multi billion dollar client, what can we do to oust the other guys and expand our service offering". Granted, we my not be the best at it, but we sure as hell can sell like we are.

we're a smaller player in the market, I can get away with that lingo for one more year and sound like I know what I'm doing.

Continue to reduce cost via outsourcing, and run increasingly lean internally. Hoard cash for the inevitable M&A activity. Hire smart. Leverage the contingent workforce. Hold benefit contribution flat and pass the increases to the employee base that are not under executive contract.

As I was on my way out, they just gave one of the company directors/board members/whatever the heck he was the new title of "Resource Optimization for Production Excellence" director. Basically, he'd identify those light on work and can them...not sure if was intentional or not, but he was the "ROPE" man.

I just found out that 8 of the local crits are being dropped next year. Wow, that makes it hard to race much.

I can't believe all of you steered him away from a cloud based solution.

Currently downloading Windows 8 at a blazing 1.5 Mbps, the fastest my ISP offers where I live. It might be done when I get up in the morning...or not.

Please don't bring up the cloud based solution. It's today's nightmare.

Saw an ad for Infocrank that you can pay whatever you want. So I went to the company's site and kept hitting "Reduce" to lower the price. Got it down to $785 when the site told me I'd reached the end of my options. BUT, i could continue to get the price lower by inviting friends to like Infocrank.
I didn't feel like bothering anyone. Plus, I just bought an SRM so I don't need this.

I got it down to $ 1,043.75. I see somewhere got it for $853. Unless I'm missing it (which I may be) I don't see crank weight, or really any pertinent info on the power meter itself. I'm not sure why, given how many SRMs I have right now and what I really need is one for a track bike, but I'm incredibly smitten with the idea that there's something workable and cheaper on the horizon.
