I was also expecting more after that comment about you being in a foul mood. I thought you were going to unleash the cracken

Rims coyld be the issue, but otoh I'm the opposite of experienced with wheel truing haha. I just flip the bike, tighten the brakes until it rubs, adjust the 5 or so spokes closest, and repeat until it's straight. So that leaves lots of room for unbalanced tension. I'll see what someone who really knows what they are doing says.

Right, and what I'm saying is that unbalanced tension is probably not something you can fix by replacing spokes. When I say the rim is the more likely culprit, I don't mean that you need to true it, I mean that the rim is defective in some way that prevents you from having a true wheel with even tension. If the rim has some kind of damage or simply isn't of good quality, it may no longer be possible to have a true wheel with even spoke tension.

I might spend a little more time on slowtwitch as there is much to learn. I am learning that there is an advantage to taking off water bottle cages and running without cages and bottle for crits. #whowouldaknown

I have heard you can do even better if you remove the wheels and handlebars.

Addition to the expense of updating my laptop from Vista to Windows 8.1: new all-in-one printer. I can print with my old Canon Pixma MP170, but there's no update for the scanning software. I scan a lot more than I print.

Saw a new physical therapist last night, who pretty much only does hips. After 5 minutes he basically said I was a mess..and that was before he ever really started doing anything. Im hoping that working with him we can sort things out and get things working the way they should be.

The only problem is my next appointment is in 3 weeks. He is booked out that far..which I guess is a good thing. My doctor said that he is really good at what he does and she will be sad the day he retires. He has also worked with quite a few cyclists, so thats good

I would call back occasionally and see if there are cancellations because you can usually jump in when there's an open time slot. That's what I did and ended up going at least once a week for 6 weeks or so.

That's probably true but there's always a way. I went through a similar deal with a specialist being a month out. I explained to the scheduler that I needed to get in ASAP and would drop things at a moments notice and come right over at anytime. What do you know they had an appointment a couple days later and I got in no problem. Tell them it's a big deal and you will make any appointment they have and they are usually flexible. I've had 6 am appointments doing the same thing before.

Fruitless job search so far until yesterday.
Someone asked me if I wanted to do my CDR gig (i.e. event services) full time, salary + bonus. We're going to talk early next week.
Issue is I have no idea what kind of room for growth and I don't want to work for an entry level salary for the rest of my life.
At the same time I've confirmed three CDR contractor gigs for 2015 (White Plains, Tokeneke, a charity ride), plus the two New Britains, and probably July 4th Bethel (town unofficially approves of it, but I'm going to poke around before I officially request permission). One venue got shot down hard yesterday (wasn't promising), two others are still in the running (promising), and someone wants me to decide on a venue (2.3 mi vs 3.3 mi vs 0.7 mi) for yet another town (promising).
My goal, a long time ago, was to promote 20 days of racing in CT. I've gone backward in terms of the Spring Series (right now it's just 2 vs 7 last year although +1 if I do a July 4 Bethel) but if I can get a couple events off the ground…
The other thing is if the CDR thing doesn't work out then I'm going to try and break into a totally different field. I've talked to two people who are familiar with it (one is in i, one has friends in it) and they both said it'd be a good fit. If that happens I'll be sure to let you all know.

Good luck with everything CDR.
I have a battery of tests and interviews next week for two full time job opportunities where I am currently contracting.
