This afternoon, I arrived at the airport, went through the security line and had my boarding pass rejected. Security didn't know why it wasn't working. Went through the ticket line, and the agent figured out the problem: I'm a meathead. HOU=\=IAH
Wrong airport. Other side of the city. Eff me.
The ticket agent managed to get me on a slightly later flight to DFW. I'm now sitting in the Reata airport bar, waiting for my badly delayed flight to Omaha, NE. I'll meet my family late tonight, around ten.
Tomorrow we'll bury my grandmother next to Grandpa.

I used to really like my in laws, but that was when we lived halfway across the country. But for the last six and a half years, we have lived within a three-hour drive of them. I am now ready to pack up my entire life again and start over somewhere else far away from them.

When we were going to spread my stepfather's ashes I got a ride to O'hare. Couldn't find the airline.
Flight was out of Midway.

We're babysitting Guinea Pigs from my son's school over holiday break.
My dog wants to know if they taste like rabbit.
I suggested we take pictures of them, so if they need "replacing" we know what color to get

I did our club's year end century yesterday. It's been a while since I rode 100+ miles and it hurt a bit. For some reason they chose a sucky route with mass traffic through the whole thing. The sound of 1000s of cars passing by just wears me out

Thanks everyone. I'm on the way back; it was good to see the family again; were all so spread out that it's really hard to get everyone together. Seems like it only happens for funerals now. I'm glad I was able to make it up to say goodby. I've got to say: it was remarkably hard this time. She's the last of my grandparents to go, and I feel like that made it more difficult.
The service went well, my brothers and a cousin were pallbearers again. I learned from my uncle that at his mom's funeral, the director told them to just roll the casket out of the hearse. When the casket crashed to the ground, they learned they were to grab it too.
My family is from Omaha/Lincoln, though I grew up in Fort Worth and now live in Houston. The rest of the family is spread over the country and globe.

Three times now since I started riding I got a saddle sore, and I don't know if coincidentally or not, each time has been after using assos chamois cream.
First time I bought it because I thought it was expensive so it must be the best, half a can in I got a sore.
Second time was after I was on vacation and bought it because it was all the vacation bike shop had.
This time I got a free canister, figured I'd be ok. I wasn't.
Every time I've gone back to my regular stuff, Donkey Label balm, the sore goes away and stays away.
Anyone else have issues with that stuff? It's not good for me.

assos and i don't get along. It gives me a rash. DZ nuts and Enzos are my go to chamois cream (although chamois butt'er is my go to if i can't get my hands on either of my favorites).

The DZ Nuts tingle is really weird. A little too "embro for your junk." But still, good stuff and my skin likes it. But it likes good ol' Chamois Butt'r just as much, at something like half the price.

I heard or read that the oil in chamois butt'r wasn't good for the foam in chamois pads. Otherwise, that stuff worked for me to heal the one and only saddle sore I've ever gotten.
