Apparently you ride a glorified Target bike, according to coffee snob bmcphx.

I didn't see anyone resort to name calling, actually I thought the whole exchange (as needlessly long as it was) was fairly fine.

Some lady who said she witnessed the whole thing as well started shouting that now they need to find the guy in the "purple Mitsubishi and the loud Subaru". the loud Subaru is me, I have never yelled **** you at someone with such force in my life, the officer on the scene pulled me back. I've been arrested before so I wasn't going to do anything dumb, but I wanted to inflict the pain of a thousand suns on that woman for trying to throw me under the bus after being a good Samaritan. No good deed goes unpunished, I suppose. She just assumed, like a moron, that anyone with a modified car traveling down the same street at the same time (albeit at very different speeds) must be involved.

Regarding name calling, I believe that thread, or its predecessor, has had countless blow ups, name callings, and time outs.

People get overly fired up about trivial things, it always seems funny.

People used to rip on my old bike all the time, I was told it was a garage sale bike, stolen out of a trash bin, etc. To an extent there was a certain honor in having a crappy bike. It was 16 lbs on the nose shifted like a dream (campy ftw) and rode really smooth until the carbon next to the fork cracked.

District Christmas party, people getting down on tequila at 12 in the afternoon. I passed as that was a one way trip to throwupville at my afternoon squat session.

I prefer espresso blends (not a fan of single origin espresso shots) and good espresso blends are around twice as expensive as good drip beans IME. My favorite espresso blend is undrinkable if you make drip coffee with it. And most of my drip beans would make for mediocre espresso at best.

My understanding is that coffee and chicory came about due to the effectiveness of the Union's Civil War blockade. Coffee ran short, so the locals came up with chicory as a means to stretch it.
