Balance shall be restored to the land of online cycling publications. Whereas 3 years ago there was the great Velonews diaspora so too shall there be a corresponding cyclingnews exodus.

Yeah, I had a paper that got bumped around (though successively lower journals) for 5 years before it was accepted. At the end, I could hardly bear to look at that mother****er. Now that it's out though, I do have the cover of the issue framed on my wall (we made cover image). The text though, I'm never reading that **** again.

Mine was conditionally accepted, but the revisions require me to do the work required for an entire other manuscript. Some of the comments are stupid. One of the reviewers wants us to do a review paper and add it to this. Like, wtf?
I was here till 3AM last night doing edits and analysis. Finally done with the analysis. The thing is due this friday and we already asked for a revisions. It needs to be on my bosses desk by tomorrow morning if there's any chance we're going to get it in on friday...
I have dinner plans tonight I can't skip out on, so I'm probably going to end up back at work after dinner till 2-3 AM again. Good effing times.

this hour attempt is bizarre. no one knows how he's doing. it's just watching a guy turn laps waiting for signal to sound.

That was pretty lame, even the Eurosport guys apologized at the end. I would think even in Mexico the UCI would have their stuff together but not so much.

Nice pics, the most frustrating thing about not being able to ride now is there's fresh snow in the mountains, and just warm enough to ride up there. Forest Falls, Oak Glen, and Onyx are beautiful right now.

Well ... effing eff. New powermeter supposed to arrive today. Have been tracking it on FedEx. Once the projected delivery time came and passed, the tracking changed to "we dunno when you're gonna get your expensive stuff you paid a lot of money to have overnighted". So, I called, and they told me it was supposed to have been delivered this morning and that they'll have it to me as soon as possible. I asked where it was and while they didn't say they didn't know, their response of "we'll have it to you as soon as possible" was pretty indicative of them not having a clue.

Dogs could run out into the road.
Doge's kid might be using the wrong gears and have his number crinkled; who knows what can happen!
I respect the final result and the effort, just don't want to watch it.

I do a lot of really dumb and questionable things, but using my time to watch one guy ride in ovals is crossing a line I don't want to cross.

To avoid riding at night, I was taking a lot time off work and moving my hours around. It may have impacted my reputation. Since I can't ride these days, I've been putting in a few 12-14 hour days at work. Opinions change quickly when you're the first in and last out. Timing couldn't be better; we / I have to move about 60 apps and sites written in the 90's to new servers. This is just painfully frustrating.
