That bmcphx got himself banned and I've never so much as received a warning is a headscratcher for sure. Uh, that's not an invitation to the staff to start sending me warnings!

I reckon that sort of stuff happens when you get the warning and then things get pear shaped

huh. no? high maintenance is how you treat the staff. get an infraction, give the mods a hard time, it compounds and you can end up getting tossed. i.e. don't call them the unspeakable thing you shouldn't call an umpire.

The Cat 5 race was slower but had the usual huge spread of abilities, so a break went off never to be seen again. Got to see my first in-person bikes-whirling-through-the-air crash, too, on a clear, open straight. Unfortunately, it included a teammate, the second-oldest guy on our team (I'm the oldest); a couple of guys crashed themselves ahead of him and he had nowhere to go. Apparently the worst injury was bruises, but my friend's helmet was visibly totaled from a hard impact on his head, and he went to the ER for a precautionary cat scan. At one point the peloton was doing ~18 mph into a slight headwind, and I wanted to yell at them to get the lead out. Looks like the same group of guys pulled almost the whole race.

What's the best way to bandage those annoying hip/ass cheek road rash areas? The arms/legs are easy with the fishnet stretchy stuff, but the side butt area is literally a pain in my ass right now.

I guess it might be interesting that we took a 5-family spring break ski vacation last week, and one family was that of a friend who is a 7-time TdF racer. We didn't spend more than about 2 minutes discussing bike racing.
I did beat him in a 3-up saucer race down a sledding hill in Leadville. He was a bit better on skis though...
Then there's this series of my oldest catching some air off a sled jump

Too bad to hear about the life ban. However, it should be noted that spending too much time in the 41 is just asking for trouble. Some of the things that get people riled over there is shocking. SRM vs Quarq .... no sir, let's argue about taking photos of bikes with the chain in the big ring or small.

I'll kinda miss bmcphx. Some of his comments did rile me up from time to time, but the heart rate spike was like doing intervals without ever leaving the chair. At least, that's how I characterized it in WKO.
Funny, because right after I got into a debate with him about temperatures in Anchorage and Arizona, it was 20 degrees colder in Phoenix than here. What a screwy winter it's been. Oh well, bring on the months of 50F and light rain that's likely going to follow for us.

You put it on, let it sit until it starts getting yellow under, clean wound, new tegaderm. I cover it with taped on gauze to protect the tegaderm from my clothing. The gauze acts as a pad and also keep jeans/etc from peeling the tegaderm off the wound.
Last time I fell was a minor fall, road rash in a few spots, Tues night, and by Sunday I removed the last of the Tegederm. Monday Memorial Day I raced with no tegaderm, no wounds.
With a reasonably clean wound and not too much rough clothing you can just do tegaderm. Last year I saw one rider with a patch or two here and there, nothing on top, and he was fine.
