I've taken my standing desk home and can at least use it on my telecommute days.. After talking to a lady who had back surgery and after 2 years is still going through red tape to get one, I know when I'm beaten.

Of course placing 20 unstable books under my monitor is perfectly okay.....

Quarterly payroll filed. Some other stuff as well. Needing employees to hold bike races is… I won't say stupid but it isn't free and it takes time.

Wait, so they'll let you bring your own monitor, but not desk?

I wish I had a standing desk after back surgery. Should have asked for one but I always forgot to and I'm leaving in a month now so whatever.

I saw my orthopedist today. The ribs and hand are healing well, with no surgery required for the hand at this point. The pneumothorax is over and the chest tube healed up. The Rockwood pin in my clavicle is in good position and doing its job although it causes me pain in certain arm positions, all normal. The earliest that it will come out is the beginning of July, with another 4-6 weeks of healing after that. I just want to be able to ride outside this year. That's goal #1 . The racing, my future, that's all up in the air and is under discussion with my family. One step at a time.

Just Z1 and maybe a little Z2 stuff now. Nothing even close to hard. I can only grab the bars with my right hand until the splint on my left comes off in 2-3 weeks. I still have trouble sleeping because of the ribs, and moving the clavicle causes pain up to a 6 or 7. Otherwise pain is minimal.

the cool thing about my stem

is that it's big enough to cut and snort lines of percocet off of.

Don't have any Percocet, straight oxycontin. Why snort Tylenol?

I've always wanted one of those carbon stems. They look awesome.

@shovelhd I admire your verve. Not sure how I'd feel after going down like that. I've crashed 6 times, but crashing well is one of my cyclist super powers, the other is heat tolerance. If I knew being a bike handler, having a big sprint, or hight ftp was an option I would have taken those instead!

I have Stinger 3's and 11 speed already. I do need a new Catlike helmet and 9070 shifters that got wrecked in the crash.

I've been racing for a long time and I've had a lot of success. It gives me perspective that not everyone has. It's too early to tell what the future holds. I do have a gem of a wife who gets it. That's part of the process. I owe her.
