Re: MVP, I view it as a most valued player/performance to the end result award. Take LeBron out of the picture and the Cavs still lose. The performance by Ig was what propelled the dubs over the Cavs and as a result is most valuable to the end result. Curry played well, but wasn't overwhelmingly great like he had been in the regular season or previous playoff series, same for Thompson. LeBron was the best player by far, but not most valuable, unless keeping the Cavs in the mix is considered valuable.

fever dream? related...Jean Lafitte/pirate/man about town helped out Ol'Hickory at the Battle of New Orleans and was granted a pardon for his actions (along with some of his other pirates). One of his old buildings...the blacksmith shop is one of the oldest bar's in america. The piano bar there is good. the purple slush drink they serve there is kinda out of place. On the otherhand a Sazerac at the Napolean House, the Sazerac Bar or the Carousel Bar at the Monteleone....that's another story

Just watched the replay. Great race but I had to mute the play by play which was bad to the point of being really distracting! Mixing up guys, fixating on riders who weren't relevant, counting laps wrong, pretty much every mistake. Not realizing until 3 to go that there were two Padillas in the race ("that guy is everywhere! I thought he had a beard though"). Frankie should stick to color commentary.

I live here. I like the Warriors. They might have beat a healthy Cleveland team, but they might as well change the award to "finals championship team series MVP" to make it more clear.

Which video? If you mean the pro race Sunday, that corner is a crazy fast downhill 120 littered with manholes. The first two guys through the corner on the last lap took it literally as fast as humanly possible and both almost ate ****. It looks like guys are being tentative on video but seriously, that is the kind of corner that ends careers.

In the pro women's race the lead rider had her front wheel wash out going for a prime in the rain.

If Lebron isn't on the roster with what they put out there in the finals, they win 15 games this season, max. Their offensive output is terrible.
But Lebron drove to the basket so much, and missed way more shots than normal. His efficiency was terrible, even though he played 48 minutes a game and was exhausted. If JR Smith took 35 shots a game, I bet he would have a ton of points, too.
With that said, I think he should have won MVP. Of course, you can make a case that he should have won the regular season MVP since 2006, every year.

Just read that a guy I know, and we tried to add to our team over the winter, died in a crash yesterday. I feel terrible for his family.

at dash for cash they had the wife of a rider killed on a group ride last year pose with the winners. He was on the race-presenting climb. I didn't even know the guy and had I finished first instead of second and gotten that pic I think I would have cried.

Glad to see we have some sports fans in here, unlike the uni-dimensional guys over there.

I saw that too. Absolutely horrible, gut wrenching.

So I started today at Valenti Cadillac in Hartford. Literally the first thing I got was the dealer insurance card stuff with my name on it. This means I can drive their cars with a dealer plate and apparently it normally takes a while to get so my boss was really pleased he could give them to me now. It was fun, tiring, a long day learning stuff. Funny, the IT stuff took no time because I used to do that stuff. The regular stuff, I don't know as well. Tomorrow I'm supposed to drive a bunch of cars, get a feel for them, poke around and check out the features, etc.

Almost 12 years ago we adopted a Humane Society dog. At the time it was against what I wanted to do because we had not long before had to put down a dog we had for a long time and she was great. I wasn't ready for a new dog. But I was talked into it. His name was Beau.
About a month ago I had to put him down. He had very advanced cancer. I am still not over it. Every time I come home I expect to see him. When I wake up in the morning I am thinking that I need to let him out.
He was a great dog.

The last time I raced with him, and we were in the same fields a lot, he worked me over pretty good so that his teammate could win. He was a diesel type of rider. He would beat me in the road races and I'd beat him in the Crits. He was one of those guys that earned his respect in the field. God Bless.

Mine are coming up on 11 and for Dalmatians that's pretty old.
