Jeepers, glad you're relatively okay. Could have been really bad.

Evidently the rear car was going after the car in front, so it wasn't a race and instead assault with a deadly weapon.

I'm not too concerned about being sued...I know the drivers were unlicensed, and possibly not citizens. Someone said both were drunk. Getting everything back to order will be on me and my insurer. I have full coverage, but who knows if it ever drives the same or I get shorted in some way.

I have that exact same Jeep btw (minus the big dent in the front).
They can handle a crash! It looked driveable after, but we'll see what the damage is like.

So there were flash floods in the area, not sure how much rain dropped but it was enough to flood the garage (no major damage). We're on a hill and water collects on the side of our property so we have a sump pump. It couldn't keep up and water got 3" deep along our house but no breaches. Wife was caught in it on the road and it was bad enough to move her car a few inches.

When I checked the pump exhaust by the road, lighting went off and I saw a flash all around me. Ditched my crutches (aka lightning rods) on the front yard and hopped into the house!

We've been petsitting our friends dog this weekend. They were driving back from CA through a storm and a bridge got washed out on I-10 near Desert Center, Interstate is closed. Now they are stuck in Indio and I get to keep their adorable Yorkie for one more night!

Wine Berries almost ready.
They have been spreading around the edges of the yard. Only noticed them a couple of years ago. Yummy ....
Sort of like Gummi-Respberries.
After the little petals peel away, wait for them to turn bright-to-darkish red ...mmmmm

Raced yesterday at 350F until golden brown, hands down the hottest race I've ever done. Drank lots of water afterwards. About an hour after the race a headache came on and I still have it. I've been eating and drinking normally. What vital nutrient or mineral do I need to be putting in my body to make it stop?

Freon.

If it's anything like what happened to me at CRRR stay near an AC as much as possible and take uncomfortably cold showers.

Technically I won, because I finished the race. But I'm still feeling it today. And despite everything I've eaten and dranken, I'm down about 6 pounds from yesterday morning.
I did a stage race in 2010 in June that left me in a world of hurt for 3 days. Dehydration can do serious damage to your kidneys.

Beer!
I'm 50-50 Scottish-Irish. My culture believes in beer for hydration and whisky for pain.

Yeah... except we didn't have to work for the next 30 years to pay for the presents!

Congratulations @hack esquire, happy home ownership to you.

No way. New car, or new bike. Once you buy a home you think about all the things you need to change now... when you get a new car or bike, it's all done (ish).

Either way, congrats Hack.
