No, I don't live too far from there and have been meaning to try it, but the place I'm referring to is falafel king, they have three locations downtown, and always give a free falafel to folks in line.

Its too bad we don't have any Mexicans around here...

I doubt anyone pretentious enough to rate burritos on a website would step a foot east of Pomona.

Sorry, we Inland Empirites have a massive inferiority complex towards the rest of California....except the San Joaquin Valley....

Blame Nate Silver, not me!

There's this for the town I live in: ALL THE TAQUERIAS OF REDWOOD CITY

Lists every taqueria in Redwood City. Rosita's is criminally underrated though!

A few years ago we and friends went on "Tour de Taco". Meaning we walked Mountain View and got tacos at 6 different taquerias. It was awesome. Would recommend.

Through local FB was going to meet couple guys for a ride. It was at 8am. I posted a messaged I might be 5 minutes late and showed up at 8:03. No one was there. Waited, then did my own thing. One of them posted, saying he wasn't sure I was coming and they left at 8:02. Even thought he posted after me with description of his bike. Ok....

I've been using pearl izumi elite full fingered gloves, but all my pairs are getting pretty manky. They don't appear to be made anymore (at least I can't find them). Anybody have any suggestions for a padded glove with decent ventilation on the back that works ok with a garmin touch screen and isn't too terribly expensive? I have gorilla hands, so it'd need to be something that isn't only available in petite sizes.

There's a local triathlon series here for beginner women. It draws a lot of women who haven't walked more than 100 yards in the last 10 years, let alone swim, bike or run. I have no idea how they get talked in to doing a triathlon. And most of them are riding old bikes that don't fit or don't work well. The course features one big hill, and it's sort of become a thing for people to set up at the bottom of the following downhill to watch the carnage as these women with no bike skills, fitness or brakes come flying down the hill.

In other news, I have somehow found myself invited to a bachelorette party for a lesbian wedding in California. I don't know any of these people. They clearly typed in the wrong email address. But I am tempted to RSVP and show up, just for the fun of it.

I like the Giro Bravo (I usually find them for about $20). (The latest version works with a touch screen). Or the Specialized Body Geometry Ridge (I haven't seen them for less than about $40).

Saturday night I went to a party for a friend/club member who is moving to someplace near Manilla. He was a club member when I joined in 1989.
It was an emotional evening, lots of kissing and crying, but when they presented him with a *****en' cf hardtail mtb he was at a loss for words.

Washington St (between Old South Meeting House and Old State House) and I think Summer St (a little after the Macy's as you're walking toward South Station. It's odd that they're all super close, but in just different enough locations that I guess they would draw from different work places. The other two locations you can actually sit down and have a meal, which is nice. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now!

This pretty much describes my first triathlon off the couch lol. I had an old hybrid bike (purple diamondback) and didn't think to put bottle cages on it. The Tri was in September in AZ, super hot. I had to stop at a circle K during the 12 mile bike ride to get a drink. I didn't have any money so I had to bum a gatorade slushy and promise I'd go back and pay after the race. The crazy thing, I wasn't even last!

i got jury duty tomorrow, and the court recommends business casual. however, my left arm and right leg are covered in bandages, and i'd really prefer to wear short sleeves. Perhap i'll get kicked out of the jury pool for contempt?

Good luck trying to out-trash the mob. When you're the only guy without a neck tattoo or Duck Dynasty t-shirt, the odds of getting picked are pretty good.
