They announced price drops at eurobike. They're pretty darn cheap, even Type Ss.
Talking about jobs, had an unofficial (and unsolicited) offer come in for a job out in Colorado this week. Still unsure about it - unsure about the move, unsure about changing from government to industry, but I guess I'll at least hear what they have to say.

gun debates are off limits. that's official. infractions will follow. sorry. that's the way it is. the admins released the associated words from the censor but the topic is a nonstarter. thanks.

Just started listening to the podcast by @grolby . Pretty fun to listen to the banter, loved the whole "We all know those guys who just love long rides" and "Were still 'young' but..."

Oh, right - team threw our semi-annual bike swap last night. It was successful, but it's going to be just once a year from now on. Not enough attention, people are too busy, scheduling challenges, etc. Anyway, pretty successful for me. I sold most of my big ticket items, made enough to compensate a little bit for some of the outrageous bicycle expenses I incurred in the last month. All in all a good night.

Murphy struck this morning. I had to start work an hour earlier than usual this morning, so my workout had to start at 0615. I drove 45 minutes to the start point, set the bike up, fired up the Garmin and zeroed the Powertap. I started off and the Garmin didn't register movement or cadence or power. The last time this happened it required a hard reset to fix, so I did that and reconfigured the two screens I would need. When I zeroed the Powertap it came up 771 instead of 513 as it did before (calibration should be between 500 and 524). When it does that it means the PT battery has just died. I rode for five minutes to confirm that it wasn't going to magically come back to life and decided to hang it up, in spite of the fact that the temps were beautiful and it was sunrise. Bah.

There's this dude I went to elementary school with in the Bay Area. In the 2nd Grade, he pulled a seat out from under me and I fell. Although he apologized, I bided my time and pretended to be his friend.
Current day; the guy just got into cycling and bought a road bike. He asked me on Facebook what he needed while riding, and I told him, just a multitool! Hopefully the guy flats and has to walk his bike home.

can't you just estimate TSS? It's probably better than not riding...
At least that's what I do for any mtb/track/ss rides that I do. I'm trying to figure out If and How I should estimate TSS for the 11.5mi 4500' hike that I did today. Hmm.

I'm thinking we just slap 80-100TSS into today's date in WKO+.

The problem is zones, I don't set TSS goals per se (though I do train by TSS) but I try to hit xx:xx amount of time in a certain zone. Cycling Analytics puts all HRM Only into Z1 for power, so I get 13 hours of Z1 when really its probably more like 10. What I need to do is find a way to add zones with power, and add hr zones via HRM only and add them together. That's not perfect but its closer.
Some of my morning commutes I just feel really good and hammer it, so all that being just shoved into z1 is a bit off....I could go by HRM but I haven't been using it all the time.
I should probably just focus on riding my bike....

yeah, i was thinking, the point is to cause adaptation in your body, not your PMC chart, but whatever.
edit - sorry this was snarky - i shouldn't post before coffee takes effect.
