My wife only wants to race when she watches the womens race and sees a 'cute outfit' one of them are wearing.

Just had twins myself a month ago (well my wife did),it's exhausting but not as hard as I thought it would be. Congrats

I started at 60 and usually get crushed like an empty beer can in a redneck bar. When you have no talent and line up with 41-year-old Cat 1s as well as Cat 2s who've been racing since Nixon was President, it happens. It's still fun, though, and it's unlikely that I'll run out of challenges any time soon!

Congrats @Ygduf on the twins and the new team. BTW, you looked totally cool on the front of the A ride going back on 84 on Sunday. Everyone behind you was on the rivet. It would have been a great pic.

I've always said folks should have to pass a battery of tests and buy a license to reproduce. Case in point.

Seriously, congrats.

I'd go with Even and Evan as names. Evan Evans has People magazine potential. Even Evans is an endless riff...

FIFY. Only three of the other.

I did my first USAC race at 45. Lined up between Bubba Melcher and Larry Nolan. Both those guys thighs were bigger than my waist.

Never too old to start.

Casey Patterson won the Race across America at 43. Linda Jackson won the Women's Challenge (biggest women stage race) at 40.
Google Jeanie Longo.

I'm too fat for climbing but strong at everything else. I pulled from San Gregorio and they all fell off early after pescadero road. I have a lot of stress to ride off. By the time the babies arrive I should be fit for Nats and then I just need a day pass to fly out and try to win.

I ride with Linda all the time. Today, actually. She's one of my favorite people on the noon ride most days.

Age matters not. Judge me by my age do you? As well you should not. For my ally is the force.

Cool! One of my friends from the club was her domestique back then, (Pam S.).

You and Yoda share much wisdom.

telling my boss about grad school/asking for a letter of rec today. not sure why, but I'm kind of nervous about it.

edit: well that went well. 1/3 letters of rec down. time to contact some professors i haven't talked to in a while...why did no one tell me how important staying in touch with profs after you graduate is?

Doesn't even deserve the Race Results thread...

So I won the Masters 35-39 AZ HC TT this year. This TT was my first race ever a few years ago and I really have been wanting to win ever since. Well, I won but only one other guy was in my field this year, for what ever reason. The numbers at all races this year seem low. Maybe the wind and cold drove others away. So would you were the polka dots?

so much this ... and making sure an effort is made to get to know a couple of profs while you're in school, too
