I feel like ours slept almost constantly at first. The first few weeks she was either eating or sleeping.

I just looked at the 10 day forecast, it looks like the heat is here to stay in the west! There's been several heat related deaths here including hikers and a cyclist

If it's faster (which it seems to be) I guess I can deal with the theme.

There still is on full site. I've been using full site this whole time anyway, may as well stick with it still.

Help me here guys. I'm a regular on the tu-thurs hammerfest group ride. It's a suburban area so we have lots of stoplights and stop signs.
There are a few hammerheads who will blow full gas through a stop sign, or haul ass on a yellow light, leaving the back half of the group to either slam on brakes or run the red.
I have had quiet, serious conversations with these guys. There are only a few of them. I told them, in effect, cut it out. When you're on the front of a group on open roads, you are responsible for their safety when you make a traffic decision. The people behind you are on the wheel, trusting that you are watching the road.
Tonight the lead dickhead blew through a stop sign with a right turn and there was oncoming traffic. We are talking about a 40 rider group full speed into a turn and there's a car coming.
I suspect the motivation is competitiveness, of course. Nobody wants to stop when they are stringing out the group, showing everybody how strong they are.
Anyway. Ideas?
- talking doesn't seem to work
- other ideas?
Thanks.
- from Texas where's it's too hot for this crap.

if it's a huge group, it might be wise to make an announcement to remind people to chill out and be considerate of the world around them.

seeing the simper overlay of the new webpage, and the fact that I no longer get notifications about quotes, I'll take a stab at the dark and say that the newer format uses up less bandwidth.

Rides that get big and fast like that need a strong leader to tell people to get in line or don't bother coming back. Otherwise, it's chaos and I want no part of it. You can't be that leader if you aren't actually the organizer or a super respected old timer (maybe you are?) so you did what you could, I'd move on personally.
Just back from a US Soccer viewing party. At the old (closed 20 years ago) Bethlehem Steelworks. It was a super cool site. All the huge blast furnaces and stuff are really cool. The US isn't ready for an opponent like Argentina, but that was expected. Still could've played much better than they did though, even if they shouldn't have won.
