    Day License for Cat 3?

I took this year off from racing. Never got my license.
Well I finally feel strong enough to get back into racing. I wasn't going to go, but my son's racing Sunday and wants me to go. If I go & don't race, I won't get a ride in that day.

    So...

    I'm a cat 3, 45+ racer. Can I get a day license for that? Or would I have to race 5's? And I can't race 5's 'cause I'm a 3.

Anybody know off the top o' their head without forcing me to search through rule book?

    CarpeDiem?

My understanding is, not so much. Pay for full license or no racing. The day license is supposed to help introduce new guys to racing and makes it easy for them to show up that day and race.

Kinda figured. I'm buddy/buddy with race promoter, but thought even that wouldn't do as it's USAC has the say.

Creatre is correct. One-day license is for Cat 5 (4 for women) only. You could buy a one-day and race Cat 5, but you also could be DQ'd.
