it seems like the Giro opening TTT is on some kind of narrow MUP. what happens when the team follow garmin rolls into the narrow space after garmin crashes?

Exactly! When I saw that and their lines converging with the other guys lines I thought for sure "here we go, huge pileup time!" but no.

Those mid-level pro races must be the scariest; so many guys looking to make it to the next level, taking all kinds of risks to get there...

Looked like the guy that won the sprint was one of the jumpers, so good for him. Good bike handling to no hit the deck after the finish with that contact, too.

Amgen Tour of California took place just down the road. Still sick, so watched it from the couch. Was cool to see the event take on local roads, but the race itself was kind of dull with a prescriptive finish. Would have been cool to see some of the early stuff like the attacks, break get away, the gravel section, etc. Nonetheless, fun to see some big guns shred strava KOMs.

I wonder what MTN's strategy was in these first couple stages. They have worked to pull back the break, and I was assuming Farrar would be a lead out guy for Ciolek (or Theo Bos). Instead Farrar is the only one near the front with a couple 8th places. Maybe Ciolek was caught in the crash today or otherwise derailed?

High point of getting up early to ride the trainer. Split, split again, then again, then more stuff. Best GT stage I've seen in a long time. I'm usually one to just watch the highlights or the last 10k or whatever, today I watched the last 60k and was into it the whole time. Also cool to see the young guy come away with it

don't diss the stationwagon (though yours really could use a few more horsepowers under the hood). I'd totally buy the TSX wagon had Honda put a real powerplant (220+ HP with 220+ Nm of torque) in that car. A pity the powers might be canned the car.
My "dream" car is the following

would love to go ride, but driving up to NJ this week (and possibly doing Wilmington, depending on weather)

two TVs side by side. none of this picture and picture crap. the stage is too good. not quite rain/cobbles of last year's TDF....but really really good.

I would buy the TSX if Honda/Acura had put an honest to god manual transmission in it.

Freakin' great ride in the ToC today. And I love it that Tinkoff came in 2nd, again because they didn't have the horsepower to pull back a kid on a development team. I like Sagan, and I shouldn't dis anyone that wants to put money into bike racing, but I'm awfully tired of Tinkoff. He is a whiner.
