I read this article yesterday and it's been in my mind and imagination since. Not a moment goes by when I'm not envisioning this person going up those steep slopes.
If this guy can do it, there are no excuses for anyone not being able to do it.
BBC News - Cycling over the Pyrenees with one leg
“They race over 22 days with only one day off. In that time they cover more than 1,600 miles (2,575km) and complete 60 ascents involving about 60,000m of climbing - more than six-and-a-half times the vertical height of Mount Everest.”
I've seen a girl in a local ride that rode a hand-bike and kept up with riders doing 10%+ climbs over a century ride. But to do all this extreme climbs/distances with one arm and one leg??? Simply Amazing!
