So instead of having the cajones to drive a mini-van that would suit you much better, be safer, and get better mileage to boot, you get an SUV because more than anything, you just want to fit in.
Or maybe you don't drive one because your self-image is all wrapped up in being self-righteous about other people's supposed environmental shortcomings.
