DAMN IT! 21 miles into my ride today I felt my seat lowering and then SNAP, the post snapped off at the collar. I was able to control the bike to a stop and then walked home 2 miles. Ouch! No fun at all! You might look into a core type reinforcement like Air did. I hope the Clyde Seat post Thread survived the BF crash of recent times! If it didn't, I'm sure Air can give you the details!
