the traditional kickstand that mounts just behind your bottom bracket probably wont fit, but there are what are called "rear mount" kickstands, something like this. one of those may work.

everyone here has to be a jerk about things whenever someone wants to do something that isn't "right" by their standards. ignore it. it's your bike, you're the one riding it. sometimes people here seem to have a hard time grasping that concept.

Geez, I didn't expect to get blasted for posting the question! Sorry if I offfended any of you hot shots!! I can learn to lean the bike. It's not that big of a deal but in light of the fact that I'm now upgrading from my 30+ year old 10 speed to the Giant, I just assumed that we still put kickstands on bikes.
