Hello from this portly fella in Allen TX

Hi,
I'm the typical runner story; my knees have worn out so time to make riding my primary excersise. I promised myself a real roadbike as soon as I could ride 25 miles on my '99 Trek 820. I've had several 25+ mile rides over the past couple of weeks, including today, so it's time for a grownup bike.

My favorite test rides have been on the Lemond Alpe d'Huez, the Trek 1500 and 2100 and Pilot 2.1. I just have to make up my mind. Any advise? I'm 6'4" 230lbs.

I plan to ride the Hotter'n hell this August. I've run a couple of marathons so a century seems right.

Check out my avitar - yea It's my left wrist getting screwed, I fell off my bike and broke it last year.

See Ya

Rick
