It seems like you could put some kind of a device on a normal messenger bag so that it would attach to your handlebars or a rack. Like a couple flaps, each with a button, that would fold over the bars and snap the bag in place.
If you find something, please post it here. I've been looking for something similar too, and am starting to think I might need to make my own.
