Looking for a bicycle trainer

So I have an el cheapo mag trainer which is clumsy to use but is functional. I am looking to save some by training more indoors this year so a reasonable upgrade seems to be in order.

Budget $300 max.

Choices
1) http://www.1upusa.com/bike_trainer.html seems to be the standard $300, downside no power, speed measurements (my current computer doesn't read backwheel speed)
2) http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...&estore_ID=989 - this one though comes with a power measuring component which will be beneficial with the monitoring of my training. Downside - not sure on reliability.

Obviously I can go with variations of option one and two but I would ideally want the best of both worlds scenario or some reasurance that the performance trainer actually performs and holds up well.

Anyway looking forward to your thoughts.
