It doesn't fold up on itself, the ratcheting head pivots 90 degrees either way. I have a set of GearWrenches(same thing) from when I used to have a car, and the pivoting makes it really easy to get into tight spots with it. Not as necessary on a bike, but now that I have them I don't think I'd ever use anything else. A set of seven(10,12,13,14,15,17,19mm) costs about $70, and is totally worth it.
