I just moved to Denmark for the next six months and have been looking to get a bike for the meantime... However, I am having zero luck finding anything used for an at all reasonable price. I know it must be just going to the wrong places - saying that the streets are littered with bikes is a complete understatement, there are hundreds of unlocked bikes just sitting along every single street block, so I just need to know how to legally acquire one myself!

I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting a bike in Copenhagen or where to look, and ideally getting a fixie here would be great with the incredible flatness of everything... but it is looking, so far, like it'd be impossible to get the parts around here. iīve seen a couple of people riding fixies around the streets but they are always ripping around so quickly i canīt flag them down to ask...

I've asked around the hostel and other bike shops but they don't like to push the used thing...
