I see it often when a new guys asks about racing, I see it when others say they just want to get out of Cat5 so they can avoid the idiots and the unsafe riding. Everybody knows that Cat5s are just a crash waiting to happen.
But....
Every cat has their crashes, you rarely see a pro race without one, they may be different reasons, in the cat 5 there may be more because people are less experienced, in cat4-3 they may be becuase you hvae a mix of inexperience and agression, in cat 2,1 pros maybe its just not paying attention.
But lets face it, the sport has its inherent dangers and $hit happens and there are crashes, but I haven't seen any more in Cat 5 than in the other cats.
Just saying....fire away you elitest snobs : )
