Chapman,
Tubus racks are excellent racks, but they can be a bit hard on the wallet. My cost effective solution is the Blackburn racks. I have a couple on a mountain bike that have been in constant use since the early 90's and they are still going strong! Not as pretty as the Tubus but well built and an excellent value for the money. You can probably find a knock off copy of the Blackburn but who knows how well it will last. I just wish Blackburn still made the front Mountain Rack
