Who says you can't do this stuff on a road bike? Okay, the rock garden stuff could get yucky, but as far as carving, jumps, and drops, I've done it all on my roady. Probably isn't the smartest thing, and probably voids the warranty, but...stairs, jumps, and 4 foot drops are part of my daily commute. And Yes, I commute on my roady. Grow a pair and quit relying on your 7 inches.
