That looks like a pretty unpleasant route to me. How about cutting out the beacon st/harvard st part, instead going (assuming counter-clockwise ride) summit->atherton->winchester->brainerd, then left on harvard with only one block to go before comm. ave. That will take out all the traffic lights along beacon and harvard, and obviate the need to cross the T tracks twice (again, assuming counter-clockwise).
