All the cool cats live in Hackney, Shoreditch (expensive 250 gbp p/w rent on a one bed flat min), brick lane, White Chaple, or Finsbury park aint to bad. Mill Hill and Stoke Newington, are good palces. Not the nicest of area but not as bad as eveyone says either. Basically north east and east, inner zone 2 areas. I live South east which is as uncool as you can get, but cheapest. West and South West tend to be quite posh and expensive, more trendy in the sence of people with lotts of money. North is also expesive and trendy, Islington is trendy, I am a liberal, arty, I only eat organic, I care about the enviroment, I drive a big 4X4 because of sking trips in France.

edit: If your a hipster you would love old street. My self I tend to do alot of my drinking in the street.
