I guess I should admit that when I pulled the crank off of Corky I didn't have a TA crank puller so I did it destructively after trying two generic gear pullers from the auto parts store, which resulted in two bent gear pullers...
But using a legitimate crank extractor, I have always been able to do it right based on warnings here to make sure it was threaded in all the way.
