I think you're overreacting, it sounds like nothing more than good-natured teasing to me. Why be offended?
At my job, no one even talks to each other unless they have to. I can't even remember the last time someone said something to me that was not related to work (I'm exaggerating, but not by much). I would kill to have coworkers be friendly enough to chitchat about things like biking/driving.
